Britannia Beach Volunteer Fire Department
The Britannia Beach Volunteer Fire Department is under the authority of SLRD, and provides fire assistance between the southern boundary of the District of Squamish to Lions Bay.

When Britannia Beach was first created, Volunteer Fire Department men would run to the fire as they pulled the hose reel behind them. By the early 1960’s, they were using an old International flatbed truck, which helped keep the hose reel in good shape.
SLRD ALERT
